Special Populations

At DC Scholars Public Charter School, we provide robust programming tailored to meet the needs of students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and English Language Learners (ELLs). Our inclusive approach ensures that all students receive the support they need to thrive academically and socially. For students with IEPs, our special populations team collaborates closely with families and teachers to develop personalized learning plans that address each student's unique strengths and challenges. Some of the related services we offer are:

  • Speech-Language
  • Physical Therapy
  • Occupational Therapy
  • Behavioral Support/Counseling

Our Multilingual Learner program focuses on language acquisition and academic support, utilizing evidence-based strategies to help students gain proficiency in English while accessing the full curriculum. Through differentiated instruction, targeted interventions, and a supportive learning environment, we strive to empower all students to achieve their highest potential. Should you have any additional questions about our programming or to inquire about our referral process, reach out to a member of our school team.
